Dundonald Primary School 'Together we...Inspire, Believe, Achieve'

Special Educational Needs

The aim of Special Needs provision within Dundonald Primary school is to address the difficulties experienced by individual pupils in accessing the curriculum.

Once a need has been identified, children may receive additional support from their class teacher or the Literacy and Numeracy support teachers. Support can take place in small groups and within the classroom setting. All provision made for pupils who have a barrier to learning is done in conjunction with the child's parents.

When necessary, advice and support are sought from the Education Authority's Educational Psychology Service.

Mrs Savage our Learning Support Coordinator will help and guide parents through this process.
