  • P5 Investiagte Bugs

    P5 have been learning lots about all the different types of bugs. They have research information and wrote about bugs, as well as doing marvellous minibeast artwork. However, the highlight has been going to Mount Stewart to find living bugs! When at Mount Stewart they went on a minibeast hunt, did pond dipping and got to make their own imaginary minibeasts out of natural materials from the forest.

     

     

  • It's Time to Stay Longer!

    It has been lovely to watch all the P1's settling into school and now the time has arrived for them to stay longer. From Monday 23rd September don't forget that all P1's will be getting home at1:50pm. We would also like to remind you to send in a packed lunch (nice and healthy of course) or to pay via Parent Mail for school dinners.

  • All About Vikings!

    P6 Viking Day was an amazing way to launch their Viking Topic. Pupils participated in a range of activities for the day, including: longhouse building, weaving, bracelets, making spears, dressing up as a Viking and sword training. What a fun day we all had!

     

  • Parents Health & Happiness Programme

    We are aware that family life is extremely busy and the many pressures can negatively impact the health and emotional wellbeing of the whole family unit. To aid parents, we have organised for Parenting NI to deliver a 4 week programme focused on improving the health, happiness and emotional wellbeing of the family.

    Please don't forget to sign up and we hope that all who attend will greatly benefit from this programme.

  • Building Resilience in Schools

    We are delighted to invite you to a British Psychology Society event that will be held at DPS. All are aware of the many challenges that young people face and research indicts that these pressures are having a negative impact upon young peoples mental health. To help parents and teachers provide appropriate support for each child, Professor Nichola Rooney will talk about research findings and practical strategies that can be implemented to help build resilience.     It's hard to believe that the time has come to start back to school! We hope you all had a fabulous summer and are ready for another school year. A year for your child to acquire new knowledge, learn new skills and participate in the many exciting opportunities that we offer.

  • Let's Go Fly a Kite

    All P6 classes had lots of fun making their own kite as part of their 'Flight' topic. 
  • Ultimate Colour Run

    On Thursday 20th June, students at Dundonald Primary School took part in the 'Ultimate Colour Run'. All proceeds raised will go towards new ICT equipment in the school. 
  • Aspiration Day @ DPS

    At Dundonald Primary School, together we inspire, believe and achieve. We had a great day at our aspiration event where every student had the opportunity to participate in engaging activities, hear from local business owners and learn about different career.
