  • International Week

    This week was International Week at DPS. We would like to thank every parent who took time to teach us more about the country that they were born in. We examined maps, learnt new words in different languages and tasted food from different countries.

  • Nursery Open Afternoons

    The on-line application form for Nursery commencing 2020 will be available on Tuesday 7th January at 12noon. The application process and form will be detailed on the Education Authority website.

    The closing date for on-line application is Thursday 30th January at 12noon. Any received after 12noon on the 30th January 2020 will be considered a late application.

    As the pre-school admissions process is in two stages the timetable on the Education Authority also specifies the relevant dates at stage two which will determine if an application is to be considered as punctual or late.

    As the Nursery Unit offers a morning or afternoon class, parents must indicate on the application form their preference i.e. AM or PM session.

  • Children in Need

    At DPS we had great fun and also raised a lot of money to support Children in Need. Many thanks to everyone who helped us raise £1376. We can assure you that the money will be greatly appreciated by the many children who are in need of a safe, secure and happy environment.

  • For Us They Fought

    Monday 11th November 2019...a day to stop and consider those who fought for our freedom. To help us remember, every class took time to create their own poppy. The poppies were then collected and are now displayed in the school reception area.
  • Music from around the World

    On Monday 4th November some pupils who are receiving music lessons within the school had the privilege of listening to a live Ulster Orchestra concert called 'Global Rhythms' which was held in the Waterfront. It was wonderful to be able to listen to different types of music from around the world.  

     

     
  • Garden of Reflection

    The P7 Gardening Club were invited by the council to help with planting at the Garden of Reflection located in Moat Park. If you want to admire and enjoy our amazing work please visit Moat Park, taking time to relax and reflect.
