  • Yale University Ice Hockey

    Thu 22 Nov 2018

As part of the Friendship Four Festival of STEM, our P6 pupils have enjoyed visits from the W5 Education Team and members of Belfast Giants. The purpose of the programme was to improve the pupils’ understanding of STEM subjects, making healthy choices and physical well-being.

The final part of the programme was a visit to W5 and an invitation to the hockey matches. For the fifth time in American Ice Hockey history, 4 college team games were played in Belfast. We were delighted to welcome 13 of the team & coaches from Yale University, Connecticut. On Friday 23 November, 111 families were able to attend the ice hockey games at the SSE Arena. We are grateful to Mr Shane Johnston for his sponsorship of this trip.

  • P7 Travel Back in Time!

    Wed 14 Nov 2018

  • LEST WE FORGET

    Thu 08 Nov 2018

As the world reflects on the centenary of  World War I ending in 1918 our pupils and staff have been creating our own remembrance art installation. Our "flow of poppies", one created by each child, is currently on display in the reception area. Each poppy represents those young men from Dundonald who lost their lives and did not get to fulfil their lives ambitions.

    They shall grow not old,

As we that are left grow old,

    Age shall not weary them,

    Nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun,

    And in the morning

    We will remember them.
