There is a strong musical tradition in Dundonald Primary where creativity is nurtured and celebrated. Every child is given many opportunities to develop musical talents and abilities throughout their time in school.
All Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 pupils take part in our Christmas Production and our older children perform in a concert or musical production each year.
Our Senior Choir, which is made up of children from Key Stage 2, is extremely active throughout the year participating in Community events.
Many children from P4 to P7 receive specialist tuition in strings, woodwind and brass from visiting tutors. Pupils are entered for Associated Board exams and have the opportunity to play in the school band, brass ensemble or one of the community concert bands. The school band has had remarkable success in recent years winning their entry in local Musical Festivals.
There is an instrumental hire and tuition charge.
