In DPS we started the year in September 2016 by celebrating Community Relations and Cultural Awareness week. The theme for this was ‘Building the Future Together.’ In every class the theme of ‘Identity’ was examined and celebrated with a unique ‘Identity’ activity.
In November every class in the school had the opportunity to participate in a language activity. Each class had the chance to either learn some Spanish, French or Mandarin. Following this, each class completed an ‘International’ themed homework. These activities were part of the British Council’s ‘International Week’ which had the theme of ‘Making time for languages.’
This year at DPS we were thrilled to be awarded the Intermediate level of the British Council’s International School Award. This was in recognition of all the fantastic international work and activities that take place in our school. Well done Dundonald!
